Carplounge Autopilot: Revolutionizing BaitBoat Control with Your Android Device
Forget traditional BaitBoat remotes! The Carplounge Autopilot utilizes your Android tablet or phone for effortless control. This free app, available on the Google Play Store, works with any Bluetooth-enabled Android device and connects to your boat via a transmitter box.
In manual mode, steer your RT7 & RT4 V4 BaitBoat intuitively via the touchscreen. The app displays real-time position, route, and orientation (including a compass!), constantly updating on an integrated map. Utilize the built-in GPS to save and name promising fishing spots (e.g., "jetty left," "spot 1") identified using your echo sounder.
Autopilot mode unlocks advanced features. Create routes by selecting and linking saved points, programming actions at each point (opening left/right hatches, releasing bait from left/right dispensers, activating lights). For example: navigate to "Sandbank," open the right hopper; proceed to "Spot 2," open the left hopper; then return to your fishing location and flash the lights. The boat automatically executes this route. Store virtually unlimited spots and routes.
Precision is paramount. Advanced sensors (position, acceleration) combined with GPS and compass technology ensure incredibly accurate route guidance – 90% of routes are accurate within 30cm! Intelligent line tension management prevents line tangles, automatically adjusting the boat's course when line tension is detected, keeping it on track.
The Autopilot replaces the standard remote but allows for optional remote control connectivity, offering flexibility. While optimized for 10-inch tablets, any Bluetooth-enabled Android tablet can be used.
The app benefits from automatic updates via the Google Play Store, ensuring access to new features, bug fixes, and improvements without needing to send your Autopilot or boat for service.
