In each temple, Fireboy and Watergirl must navigate through fire and water. Fireboy can safely walk through lava but must avoid water, while Watergirl can traverse water but must steer clear of lava. Both must be cautious of spikes. The objective is to reach the doors at the end of each screen—red for Fireboy and blue for Watergirl—while collecting diamonds that match their colors. Speed and teamwork are key to achieving higher scores and rankings.
To progress, players must activate buttons to operate lifts, move boxes and bricks to reach higher areas, and flip switches.
