The FreeStyle LibreLink app is now approved for use with both the FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors, offering a seamless way to monitor your glucose levels directly from your smartphone. With the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, you benefit from automatic glucose readings updated every minute, and receive timely alerts for low or high blood sugar levels, enhancing your ability to manage your diabetes effectively.
Using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you can:
- View your current glucose result, trend arrow, and historical glucose data.
- Receive low or high glucose alarms if you are using the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor.
- Access detailed reports that show your time spent within target glucose ranges and daily trends.
- Share your glucose data with your doctor and family, with your consent, for better collaborative care.
Compatibility with smartphones can vary depending on the device and operating system. For a full list of compatible phones, please visit http://FreeStyleLibre.com.
When using your app and reader with the same sensor, remember that alarms can be set up either on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your smartphone, but not simultaneously on both. To receive alarms on your phone, start the sensor using the app; for alarms on the reader, start the sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader. Once started with the reader, you can still scan the sensor with your phone. However, the app and reader do not share data directly. To ensure comprehensive data collection, scan your sensor every 8 hours with the device you wish to use for reports. You can upload and view data from all your devices on LibreView.com.
The FreeStyle LibreLink app, when paired with a sensor, is designed to measure glucose levels in people with diabetes.
