The objective of Hearts is to finish with the fewest points. Players must follow suit (Clubs) when possible. Without matching cards, you may play any card except Hearts or the Queen of Spades during the opening trick. The highest card of the lead suit captures the trick and leads next. Each Heart in a trick adds 1 point, while the Queen of Spades costs 13 points. However, collecting all Hearts plus the Queen of Spades ("Shooting the Moon") scores zero for you and 26 points for each opponent! The game concludes when any player reaches 100+ points.
