Learn to read Spanish

3.1
Game Introduction

This app helps preschoolers and early elementary students learn to read and write the Spanish alphabet. Designed for ages 3-7 (and helpful for adults improving pronunciation), it uses a phonics-based approach.

The method features letter tracing and 30 lessons progressing from vowels to consonants (L, M, S, T, P, N, D, F, H, C, Q, CH, G, GUE, R, -rr-, -R, B, V, J, GE, GUE, Y, Z, CE, LL, X, K). Each lesson includes 11 games with two difficulty levels. Parents and teachers can use this to practice basic Spanish syllables and words. The focus is on engagement; complete understanding isn't initially required.

Key Features:

  • Two Difficulty Levels: Adapts to the child's pace. Games can be paused and resumed. Fruits are awarded for completed games.
  • Multiple Abilities Developed: Visual and auditory memorization, identification and association, discrimination, comprehension, and literacy skills are all enhanced.
  • Customizable Options: Background music on/off, fullscreen mode, font selection (uppercase, lowercase, cursive), automatic activity switching, and syllable shuffling are all adjustable.
  • Progress Tracking: Up to three profiles can be created, each showing progress, accuracy (right/wrong answers), and a percentage score represented by fruit. Detailed reports are also available.
  • Engaging Games: Eleven varied games per lesson, including: Dolphin (word presentation), Balloons (letter identification), Clouds (tracing), Crabs (syllable formation), Butterflies (syllable identification), Bees (initial syllable identification), Snake (word formation), Monkeys (word formation from letters), Parrots (word recognition and reading), Mouse (word and sentence order), and Snails (sentence formation).
  • "The Alphabet" Game: A new feature for learning to write letters, syllables, and words in tracing, copying, and free modes.

Remember, learning to read takes time. Short, frequent practice sessions are recommended, regularly reviewing previously learned material. Make it fun! Don't pressure the child to progress too quickly.
