Albion Online is gearing up for its highly anticipated update, Abyssal Depths, scheduled to launch on June 30th, 2025. Developed by Sandbox Interactive, this revamp brings significant changes to the game, promising an exciting experience for both new and veteran players alike. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know about what’s coming your way.
What Are the Abyssal Depths in Albion Online?
Prepare yourself for a brand-new PvP dungeon experience. The Abyssal Depths introduces instanced PvP dungeons designed for small groups of two to three players. Set in a collapsing environment, these encounters challenge you to fight off mobs and rival teams while completing tactical objectives and gathering spirits—all before the environment crumbles around you. As always, risk and reward go hand-in-hand, with unique loot waiting to be discovered.
Access to these dungeons will be available through Antiquarian’s Dens, which also serve as new entry points for Corrupted Dungeons and Hellgates. Both of these areas are receiving updates, including improvements to their mechanics and content.
One of the core goals of the Abyssal Depths update is to make Albion Online more beginner-friendly. To achieve this, the post-tutorial experience will now be integrated into the Albion Journal. Instead of navigating disjointed questlines, new players will enjoy a clear, structured progression path that gradually introduces them to the game’s diverse features, including crafting, combat, the Destiny Board, and building interactions.
