Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, where you'll have the chance to encounter the adorable new addition, Applin. This is an unmissable event for collectors and shiny hunters alike. Dive in to learn everything about this exciting event.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This marks the much-anticipated debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, use 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples to evolve it into Appletun. For its final evolution to Dipplin, and eventually Hydrapple, keep an eye on future updates for requirements.

The Apples are crucial for evolution and will appear in the wild during the event. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of encountering Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly hiding from its natural predators, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as a simple piece of fruit. This makes Applin one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag new avatar items from the in-game shop, such as the Applin Headband and Applin Apron. As for bonuses, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event.

There's also an enhanced chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Moreover, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are significantly increased.

A delightful addition to the event is the increased berry drops from catching Delibird or Skwovet. So, if you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and prepare to immerse yourself in the Sweet Discoveries event.
