Ninja cats, fish cats, and even something that's aptly called "Gross Cat" - there seems to be no limit to how The Battle Cats gets even weirder and weirder, and this commitment to being oddly appealing is likely why it's now celebrating 12 years of service. While the mobile world is a revolving door of tower defence would-be hits, this cat-themed one seems to be hitting all the right notes, and developer Ponos is celebrating that with a new Sengoku-era ad campaign.

In The Battle Cats' latest series of commercials, you can look forward to immersing yourself in the Sengoku period where tactical mastery reigned supreme. There are serious elements of art and history, combined seamlessly with the franchise's signature humour and quirky cat food cans.

The team has partnered with R/GA to bring "The Way of the Cat" campaign to players, and after watching these cinematic treats myself, I was somehow also enticed to "be the cat, become the cat."

This collaboration with R/GA respects our legacy while inviting new players to experience the excitement of tactical gameplay in a novel way," says Ponos' COO and Managing Director Seiichiro Sano.
