Fortnite's Godzilla Collaboration: Leaked Details and Hatsune Miku's Potential Arrival
While the January 17th release of Godzilla in Fortnite has been anticipated, recent leaks have unveiled the full scope of the Monsterverse partnership. An update already deployed by Epic Games contains the content slated for that date, allowing dataminers to reveal the specifics.
Beyond the battle pass Godzilla skin, players can acquire Mechagodzilla and Kong skins from the item shop, complete with unique jetpacks and custom pickaxes designed for each character.
A new boss event will also launch on January 17th. One player can transform into a giant Godzilla, utilizing abilities like atomic breath. Players must cooperate to defeat this colossal foe, with the player inflicting the most damage receiving a medallion granting a unique ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will arrive in the Fortnite store at the usual time, priced as follows:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks
Separately, hints suggest the arrival of virtual singer Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between Hatsune Miku's official account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation. This collaboration may include a stylized pickaxe, a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant, the standard Vocaloid skin, and a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
