Ten years of tranquil Sims life comes to an end as burglars return to the neighborhood in a new Sims 4 update! While not universally welcomed by players, the update brings back the thrilling (or terrifying) experience of home invasions.
The Sims 4 developers recently announced the long-awaited return of burglaries in their latest blog post. As in previous games, installing a security system is key to deterring these unwelcome guests. A triggered alarm will summon the police to apprehend the culprit. Skilled Sims can upgrade the alarm system for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. For those without an alarm, a frantic call to the police (hoping for a timely response) or a daring attempt at befriending the burglar remain options.
More creative, albeit expansion pack-dependent, solutions exist for players. Sims can unleash their canine companions, summon the powers of spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves, or even freeze the burglar solid with a specialized ray.
This exciting (or anxiety-inducing) update is available now – and it's completely free!
