If there's one thing you can say about mobile developer AppSir, it's that their games are always worth exploring. From our glowing review of Spooky Pixel Hero to their latest release, Climb Knight, AppSir consistently delivers unique indie fun that hits the mark. And now, Climb Knight is gearing up for a significant update that promises to enhance the gaming experience even further.
You might be thinking, "Didn't you already cover Climb Knight?" Indeed, we did, and we gave it a positive review. Surprisingly, AppSir was taken aback by the warm reception Climb Knight received. In celebration, they've announced a major update set to launch on February 25th, and the best part? It's completely free!
So, what can you expect from this update? Three new one-bit minigames and an intriguing new advisor character inspired by Apple Newton shareware. Given AppSir's penchant for the spooky and unexpected, there's likely more to this advisor and the new gameplay than meets the eye.
Climbing upAppSir proves that a dedicated indie developer can break the mold and still find success on mobile platforms. While I wouldn't label them as the "New Blood" of smartphones, their work shares similarities with the eerie, retro vibe of the acclaimed Faith trilogy.
