Hit murder-mystery adaptation Cluedo, which brings the classic thriller to mobile, has introduced its new shiver-inducing Winter update. Taking you to the depths of an isolated polar research station, you'll be facing your most chilling case yet. Here's hoping you brought your snow shoes, because here's The Thing...
Alright, jokes aside you won't have to worry about shape-shifting aliens in The Polar Research Station, but you may have to keep your eye open so you don't get lamped by an oxygen tank or stuck with an ice pick. The update adds a suitable amount of theming with six new weapons, nine rooms, nine case files and four vanity items to enjoy.
Meanwhile, the cast of Marmalade Game Studios' Cluedo adaptation will also be receiving a wintry makeover to suit the polar depths. That's on top of a whole new map with frigid weather effects that add to the experience.
It's little surprise that the folks at Marmalade selected a frozen research station. What many in literary circles term a "closed circle" isolates the characters from assistance for a defined period, and the intriguing setting permits numerous innovative and clever methods for either exposing the murderer or for them to commit the crime.
Admittedly, I'm sure some of you are disappointed there aren't opportunities to introduce more festive implements to the proceedings, but concurrently, you can't request a more fitting location for the coldest months than the literal bottom/top of the globe, can you?
