A new month brings a fresh wave of arrivals to all your streaming services. While Disney+ isn't adding a huge number of new original series this time (though there are notable highlights from the MCU), the platform is certainly welcoming its share of reality shows and international dramas. As usual, the majority of new additions are coming to Disney+ after their original runs on the Disney Channel or Disney Jr.

Ongoing Series
Two series will continue to release new weekly episodes on Disney+ throughout August. Season 21 of Project Runway will stream new episodes every Thursday following their live airing on Freeform. The Korean crime drama Low Life will continue with two new episodes every Wednesday until its season finale on August 15.

Eyes of Wakanda Season 1 (4 episodes)Outdoor Adventure Stream
On the "new releases" front, August kicks off with the latest series from the MCU. The animated anthology Eyes of Wakanda follows warriors throughout the history of the technologically advanced nation. As a spin-off from the Black Panther films, IGN's review praises it as "one of the best looking series" in the MCU.
Disney+ is also launching a new "Outdoor Adventure Stream," a 24/7 channel featuring a variety of series and movies focused on, as the name suggests, outdoor adventures.
August 3
Naming the Dead Season 1 (6 episodes)
A collaborative production from Hulu and National Geographic now coming to Disney+, Naming the Dead is a documentary series that follows the work of the DNA Doe Project.

Blending Disney and MCU elements, Marvel's Iron Man and His Awesome Friends will debut on Disney+ the day after its live premiere on Disney Jr.

Next, you'll find the two most recent seasons of Chibiverse, an animated show featuring "chibi" versions of popular Disney characters that originally aired on the Disney Channel.

Limitless: Live Better Now - PremiereStand Up to Cancer 2025 (Livestream @ 5pm PT)
Disney+ is adding Nat Geo's Limitless: Live Better Now, a documentary featuring Chris Hemsworth tackling various challenges to promote health and wellness awareness. At 5 PM PT, Disney+ will also livestream the Stand Up to Cancer event from Nashville.

The second season of Me and Winnie the Pooh arrives on Disney+ on August 21, nearly six months after its initial airing on Disney Jr.

Another title from Disney Jr., the first season of this Ariel series aired in 2024 and draws inspiration from both the animated and live-action Little Mermaid movies, presented in a chibi art style.

To celebrate World Princess Week, Disney+ is launching a 24/7 Princess Stream, featuring a rotating selection of classic and contemporary Disney Princess content. The service will also premiere LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite, a new special where iconic Disney villains team up to seize their kingdoms, with the equally iconic princesses racing to stop them.
