Resolve the Prochek and Olbram Feud in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Prochek and Olbram's conflict will continue unless you intervene during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here's how to bring peace:
Starting the Quest:
Complete either the Frogs or Mice quests for Prochek or Olbram. This unlocks "Battle of the Frogs and Mice." Speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to begin. Proceed to the designated pasture.
Choosing a Side (Optional):
You can choose to side with Prochek or Olbram. To support Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" To support Olbram, tell him "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" A successful dialogue check during negotiations might cause an enemy to flee, simplifying the fight. Victory earns you groschen.
Ending the Feud:
For a more peaceful resolution:
-
Negotiate Peace: Before going to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they're willing to end the feud.
-
Consult the Baliff: Go to Troskowitz and speak with Baliff Thrush. Select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace." A successful dialogue check allows you to read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room (or sneak a peek if you fail the check – save beforehand!).
-
The Chronicle: Speak with the scribe and choose, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."
-
The Nail:
In the pasture, find three oak trees in a row. Examine the middle tree to find a nail.
- Middle Tree: Divides the pasture equally.
- West Tree: Favors Tachov.
- East Tree: Favors Zhelejov.
-
Final Steps: Place the nail, then speak with Baliff Thrush again to confirm the peace. Inform Prochek or Olbram, bringing the feud to an end. You'll receive the Master Studies I book as a reward.
This method avoids a fight and offers a more satisfying conclusion. Remember to check The Escapist for more Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guides.
