Fishing in Fisch typically involves rods, but a cheaper, unique alternative exists: Crab Cages. This guide explains how to obtain and effectively utilize these in-game items.
Crab Cages, as the name implies, are designed for crab catching. While often yielding trash, this has become more valuable since the introduction of crafting.
Obtaining Crab Cages
Crab Cages are widely scattered across the Fisch map, frequently near merchants. The exception is Mushgrove Swamp, where they're found near the watchtower. Key locations include:
- Moosewood
- Sunstone Island
- Desolate Deep
- Mushgrove Swamp
- Roslit Bay
Simply aim at the ground-based cages to purchase them, specifying the desired quantity. At a mere 45 C$ each, they're a budget-friendly option.
Using Crab Cages
Deployment is straightforward: head to any shoreline, place the cage in the water, ensuring sufficient distance between cages (indicated by a green marker).
Placement isn't limited to shores; any body of water works, provided you're on solid ground. For offshore use, a small vessel like a surfboard is recommended.
After approximately five minutes, a sound effect and glowing cage signal a successful catch.
