Rest and Recovery in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Sleep is paramount in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a crucial way to fully restore health without relying solely on food and potions. This guide details where to find a place to rest your weary head.
Securing a Bed
Early in the game, acquiring your own bed is vital. During the "Wedding Crashers" quest, completing either the blacksmith (Radovan) or miller (Kreyzl) questline will grant you access to a bed. Radovan, located in the closer town of Tachov, is a convenient option. After finishing his smithing tutorial, you'll gain access to a bed in the room adjacent to the forge.
This bed will be marked on your map, providing a designated resting spot. A nearby chest offers convenient storage.
Utilizing Campsites
When immediate access to your bed isn't possible, numerous campsites scattered throughout the game world provide alternative sleeping locations. While some may be occupied by bandits requiring dispatch before use, others are unoccupied. Campsites are marked on your map, and interacting with the bedrolls allows for rest. While comfort is reduced compared to a proper bed, it effectively restores health.
Sleeping in an NPC's bed is a last resort, as getting caught will likely result in a confrontation with the guards.
