Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has officially launched its third season of Year Six, creatively titled "Burden of Truth." This season draws players deeper into the narrative, challenging them to track down Kelso across Washington, D.C., using her cryptic clues. Along the journey, players will uncover more details about Lau's recruitment methods and the mysterious "Cassandra" mission.
A key highlight of the season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, designed to intensify combat by promoting aggressive playstyles. Defeating foes and completing combat objectives builds momentum. While basic kills provide a moderate boost, critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and eliminating elite enemies significantly accelerate momentum growth. As momentum rises, players benefit from enhanced abilities, including faster movement, quicker reloads, increased damage output, and heightened firing rates. At maximum levels, the Overcharge feature activates, drastically reducing ability cooldowns.
Season six also brings revamped combat mechanics alongside brand-new weaponry and gear. Owners of the Warlords of New York expansion and the Year 1 Pass gain access to an expanded inventory with 50 additional slots.
Standout additions include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves, along with two new brands—Refactor and Shiny Monkey—offering fresh gear options. Additionally, named weapons such as the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL introduce unique talents, allowing players to fine-tune their loadouts. Available on all platforms, Ubisoft is eager to gather player feedback to shape future updates.
