Funcom has announced the worldwide launch schedule for Dune: Awakening.
Drawing inspiration from Denis Villeneuve and Legendary Entertainment's cinematic epics, Dune: Awakening is a survival MMO that plunges players into the treacherous landscapes of Arrakis—marking the first time this iconic world becomes fully explorable in an open-world setting.
Master Fremen survival techniques while progressing through combat, spice harvesting, base construction, and trade. Originally slated for late May, the launch was postponed by three weeks to address beta feedback, now arriving on June 10, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Those with early access privileges can begin their journey on June 5.

During a recent livestream, Funcom unveiled Dune: Awakening's mid-to-endgame content, highlighting the expansive Hagga Basin region. Beta participants had previously accessed just 25% of this zone, which features diverse biomes from the vibrant O'odham to the perilous Hagga Rift and Jabal Eifrit's towering spires.
"Players will first experience a comprehensive survival challenge before venturing into the Deep Desert," Funcom revealed.
"Advance through Atreides or Harkonnen ranks; construct fortified bases; conquer Imperial trials; unlock advanced crafting; and traverse the sands in specialized vehicles." The innovative Landsraad system accommodates both PvE and PvP players through faction-wide collaborative efforts.
