Elden Ring is set to make its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, a thrilling announcement that was revealed during Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct. While it remains uncertain how this version will compare to those on other platforms, the excitement around bringing Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition to Nintendo fans is palpable.
Since its release in February 2022, Elden Ring has become a cultural phenomenon, selling over 13 million copies within the first month and reaching nearly 29 million copies sold to date. The game has seen innovative playthroughs, such as defeating bosses with the Nintendo Switch Ring Fit controller, and has spurred ambitious speedrunning challenges. Following its success, the game was expanded with the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in 2023.
