In the thrilling co-op horror game, *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of randomly spawning monsters. Successfully extracting your loot rewards you handsomely, providing crucial funds to upgrade your survival gear. This challenging task, however, becomes increasingly rewarding as you master the game's mechanics.
Securing those valuable items means navigating the level and reaching the Extraction Point. Here, your collected treasures are tallied, and the menacing Taxman determines your reward, allowing you to proceed to the Service Station, hopefully with a healthy sum to spend.
As you progress through *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes second nature. Initially daunting, it soon transforms into a routine as you overcome more levels and monsters.
How to Extract in R.E.P.O.
Your first *R.E.P.O.* run features a single Extraction Point. However, as you advance to new locations, this number increases, reaching a maximum of four. The red number in the top right corner of your screen conveniently tracks your progress, indicating both the total number of drop-offs required and those already completed.
Initially, the Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck—a consistent starting point. Subsequent Extraction Points, however, become more challenging to locate. After your first drop-off, the Taxman's demands and the location of the next drop-off remain unknown. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. Pressing "Tab" reveals unexplored areas, aiding route planning and coordinating efforts with teammates to cover more ground simultaneously.
The next Extraction Point's location becomes evident upon arrival, either visually or audibly. Once located, press the large red button to initiate the process. Here, your collected items are assessed, and if sufficient, place your C.A.R.T. within the grey designated area to prevent item destruction. Repeat this process for each Extraction Point. Note that after the final drop-off, you don't need to return the C.A.R.T. to the truck; a new one will appear in the next level.
