Fortnite Brings Back Rare Superhero Skin After More Than a Year

Fortnite's Wonder Woman skin makes a triumphant return to the item shop after a year-long hiatus. The iconic skin's reappearance also brings back complementary cosmetics, including the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and Golden Eagle Wings glider. This marks another DC Comics crossover event for the popular battle royale game, following a December resurgence of various DC characters.

Epic Games' Fortnite consistently features collaborations with diverse franchises, ranging from pop culture and music to clothing brands like Nike and Air Jordan. The game's superhero-themed cosmetics are especially popular, with numerous Marvel and DC characters boasting multiple variations. Previous collaborations have even incorporated unique gameplay elements and weaponry.

The Wonder Woman skin's return, confirmed by prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX after a 444-day absence, offers players a chance to acquire the complete cosmetic bundle at a discounted price of 2,400 V-Bucks, or purchase the skin individually for 1,600 V-Bucks. The bundle includes the Athena's Battleaxe and Golden Eagle Wings.

This DC comeback follows the recent reintroduction of other popular characters like Starfire and Harley Quinn. Furthermore, the current Chapter 6 Season 1, with its Japanese theme, introduced unique variant skins: Ninja Batman and Karuta Harley Quinn.

Fortnite's ongoing collaborations continue with the current season's Japanese focus, including a temporary return of Dragon Ball skins. A Godzilla skin is also slated for release later this month, with rumors of a Demon Slayer crossover in the future. The return of Wonder Woman provides fans another opportunity to add this classic female superhero to their collection.
