Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is launching a closed beta on Android and PC! Netmarble's upcoming action-adventure title, set in Westeros, offers a unique third-person perspective on the world of George R.R. Martin's epic saga.
The closed beta begins January 15th and runs until the 22nd in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android sign-ups are open now!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games, Kingsroad focuses on a single character's journey. You'll inherit the lesser-known House Tyre and embark on adventures across Westeros, battling enemies and building your reputation. The gameplay, reminiscent of The Witcher series, features third-person exploration and combat with three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin.
Winter is coming (and the beta is almost here!)
Registration for the closed beta closes January 12th. While visually impressive, Kingsroad will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny from the dedicated Game of Thrones fanbase. The game's monetization, long-term support, and overall strategy will be key factors in its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, it could become the definitive Game of Thrones experience many fans have been waiting for.
