PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions have revealed the release date for Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima. A new trailer, titled "The Onryō’s List," was released on April 23, providing fans with a glimpse into the game's story and gameplay. The trailer culminates in the announcement of the release date: October 2, 2025.
Ghost of Yōtei follows the journey of Atsu in the region of Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido), as she seeks vengeance against the notorious Yōtei Six, the outlaws responsible for her family's demise. Her mission is to hunt down each member of the group: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.
This standalone sequel is set 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. Earlier this year, Sucker Punch Productions shared insights into the game's new features, which include an array of new weapons and mechanics, expanding on the foundation laid by its predecessor.
