On the occasion of the release of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where players embodied the Nameless Hero, the remake introduces you to Nyras, a prisoner navigating the same challenging world with the same ultimate goal: survival.
The Gothic Remake demo, launched during the Steam Next Fest event, has shattered records by achieving the highest number of concurrent players among all entries in the Gothic series. This impressive feat is illustrated in the image below:

The demo showcases a segment of the remake with stunning updated graphics, refined animations, and an enhanced combat system, all powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a glimpse into the game's new look and feel, it only scratches the surface of the freedom of action and the deep RPG mechanics that await players in the full version.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC platforms including Steam and GOG. Although the exact release date remains under wraps, anticipation continues to build among fans eager to explore this refreshed take on a classic.
