If you're diving into *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, whether you're a seasoned player or new to the franchise, you might find yourself taking a fair bit of damage as you navigate through the game's various challenges. Newcomers, in particular, will likely be eager to learn how to heal as quickly as possible to keep up with the fast-paced action.
Fortunately, healing in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* is quite straightforward. You'll need to use a special consumable item known as a meat bun to restore your health. The game also offers an auto-healing feature, which can be a lifesaver for those who prefer not to constantly monitor their health bar and decide when to heal.
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Just like in previous entries of the *Dynasty Warriors* series, healing in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* involves using meat buns. You can find these by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, enemy officers might drop meat buns upon defeat, but this is exclusive to the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings. If you're playing on Hero or Ultimate Warrior, you won't see any meat buns dropping from officers.
To use a meat bun during battle, simply press Up on the D-Pad, provided you have at least one in your inventory. If your inventory is full when you pick up a meat bun, it will be consumed automatically unless your health is already full, in which case it will stay on the ground. At the start, you can carry up to three meat buns, but if that's not enough, you can expand your capacity by acquiring the Meat Bun Glutton skill.
For those who'd rather not manage their healing items manually, you can enable the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option found in the Configuration menu. This feature will automatically use a meat bun when your health drops below a certain threshold. Even with auto-use enabled, you can still consume meat buns manually, making it a convenient option to have turned on, even if you don't plan to rely on it entirely.
