For a series that started out purely as an attempt to sell toys, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has become a pop-culture landmark. Whether that's because of genuine fondness, the camp factor of the original cartoon, or pure nostalgia. But either way, the series has starred in tons of digital collaborations, and the latest to team up with He-Man and fellow residents of Castle Grayskull is Raid: Shadow Legends.
The iconic cackling face of Skeletor can join your lineup by participating in a 14-day loyalty programme, where signing in on seven different days before December 25th will let you grab him for free. Meanwhile, the series mascot He-Man will also be available as the final reward of the Elite Champion Pass feature.
Naturally, as you'd expect, while Skeletor specialises in controlling the flow of battle, dealing debuffs and manipulating the turn meter, He-Man is all about pure heroic power and overwhelming his opponents through good old-fashioned brute force.
Alongside the brief animation and overall design of this crossover, it's quite evident it's heavily reminiscent of the classic eighties He-Man, unlike the reimagined versions some might know. It's also clearly incorporating the self-aware humor Raid has gradually developed. But regardless, if you want to acquire a couple of excellent new champions for your roster in Raid: Shadow Legends, this collaboration is sure to thrill.
