Obtaining Isma's Tear
To acquire Isma's Tear, you must have accessed the City of Tears. Venture into the depths of the Royal Waterways, accessible from this area. Within the City of Tears, locate a latched door requiring a Simple Key.
While several Simple Keys exist in Hallownest, focus on acid immunity. Before proceeding, ensure you possess the Desolate Dive ability (obtained from the Soul Master in the City of Tears). This ability is crucial for accessing the starting point, marked by the leftmost red circle in the accompanying image.
Before following the marked route, defeat the Dung Defender (white circle) to drain the adjacent acid-filled area. Activate the lever in the room to the right of the Dung Defender's lair, clearing the path.
Now, follow the marked path, overcoming obstacles including winged sentries. Upon defeating them, descend to Isma's Grove; Isma's Tear is located in the area's right corner.
Acquiring a Simple Key
Simple Keys are rare (only four exist). Locations include the Ancient Basin, the City of Tears, a secluded area near the Colosseum of Fools (after defeating the Pale Lurker), and Sly's shop in Dirtmouth.
Sly's shop offers the easiest acquisition, though it costs 950 Geo. This significant cost might conflict with other purchases like the Lumafly Lantern, but is necessary for acid immunity.
