Marvel Rivals Announces Balancing Changes in Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Major Balance Changes

Marvel Rivals' Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, promises a major update. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman arrive on day one, with Human Torch and The Thing joining six to seven weeks later.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," further enhance the gameplay experience.

Significant balancing adjustments are also in store. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom are getting buffs to improve their viability. Wolverine and Storm also receive buffs to encourage strategic play, along with Cloak and Dagger, who will be more versatile in team compositions. Adjustments are planned for Jeff the Land Shark, specifically addressing inconsistencies between his early warning and ultimate hitbox. While his ultimate's power level has been a point of discussion, no major changes have been announced.

NetEase Games hasn't addressed changes to the Seasonal Bonus feature, a point of contention among players due to its perceived impact on balance. Despite this uncertainty, Season 1 appears poised to deliver a wealth of new content and gameplay refinements.
