TouchArcade Rating:

This month's Marvel Snap (Free) deck-building guide arrives a little early to compensate for last month's delay. A new season brings new challenges, and the meta is poised for a shakeup. While last month saw a period of relative balance, the introduction of new cards, particularly the Amazing Spider-Man and the Activate ability, is set to drastically alter the landscape. Remember, effective decks are constantly evolving, so these suggestions are a starting point, not a definitive guide.

The decks featured below represent top-tier strategies, assuming a complete card collection. I'll present five top-performing decks, followed by a couple of more accessible, fun options for players with smaller collections.

The Young Avengers cards haven't significantly impacted the meta, with only Kate Bishop and Marvel Boy making notable contributions. However, the new Amazing Spider-Man and the Activate ability are game-changers. Next month's meta will undoubtedly look very different.

Kazar and Gilgamesh Deck

Cards: Ant-Man, Nebula, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, Caeira, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird

This deck utilizes the familiar low-cost card strategy, boosted by Kazar and Blue Marvel. Marvel Boy provides additional buffs, and Gilgamesh thrives in this high-buff environment. Kate Bishop complements Dazzler, while Mockingbird benefits from the cost reduction. This strong deck's long-term viability remains to be seen.

Silver Surfer Deck (Revised)

Cards: Nova, Forge, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Hope Summers, Nocturne, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Absorbing Man, Gwenpool

The Silver Surfer deck persists, with minor adjustments for balance changes and new cards. The core Nova/Killmonger combo remains, with Forge enhancing Brood's clones. Gwenpool buffs hand cards, Shaw gains strength with buffs, Hope provides extra energy, Cassandra Nova siphons opponent's power, and the Surfer/Absorbing Man combo delivers a powerful finish. Copycat replaces Red Guardian, proving a versatile addition.

Spectrum and Man-Thing Ongoing Deck

Cards: Wasp, Ant-Man, Howard the Duck, Armor, US Agent, Lizard, Captain America, Cosmo, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Spectrum

The Ongoing archetype remains surprisingly competitive. Spectrum's final-turn buff enhances Ongoing abilities, while the Luke Cage/Man-Thing combo provides powerful synergy. Luke Cage protects cards from US Agent's effect. This straightforward deck is easy to play, and Cosmo's utility is expected to increase.

Discard Dracula Deck

Cards: Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Moon Knight, Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula, Proxima Midnight, MODOK, Apocalypse

A classic Apocalypse-style Discard deck, featuring the buffed Moon Knight. Morbius and Dracula are the key cards, aiming for an endgame where Apocalypse is consumed by Dracula for a massive power boost. The Collector can provide unexpected value with sufficient Swarm plays.

Destroy Deck

Cards: Deadpool, Niko Minoru, X-23, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Deathlok, Attuma, Nimrod, Knull, Death

The Destroy deck remains largely unchanged, with Attuma's buff making him a valuable inclusion. The strategy focuses on maximizing Deadpool and Wolverine's Destroy effects, using X-23 for extra energy, and finishing with a Nimrod swarm or Knull. The absence of Arnim Zola reflects the increasing prevalence of counter-measures.

Here are a couple of fun, more accessible decks:

Darkhawk Deck

Cards: The Hood, Spider-Ham, Korg, Niko Minoru, Cassandra Nova, Moon Knight, Rockslide, Viper, Proxima Midnight, Darkhawk, Blackbolt, Stature

This deck utilizes Darkhawk's strengths, incorporating Korg and Rockslide to add cards to the opponent's deck. It also includes disruptive cards like Spider-Ham and Cassandra Nova, alongside discard effects to reduce Stature's cost.

Budget Kazar Deck

Cards: Ant-Man, Elektra, Ice Man, Nightcrawler, Armor, Mister Fantastic, Cosmo, Kazar, Namor, Blue Marvel, Klaw, Onslaught

A beginner-friendly version of the Kazar deck, lacking some of the higher-cost cards. While less consistent than the full version, it provides a good introduction to the Kazar/Blue Marvel combo, incorporating Onslaught for a powerful final push.

This month's meta is dynamic, and the introduction of the Activate ability and new cards will continue to reshape the game. Keep an eye on balance changes and adapt your strategies accordingly. Happy snapping!
