Supercell's mo.co has just detailed its most significant update yet: Chapter 2: Portal Problems. While an exact launch date hasn't been announced, Supercell is already offering a glimpse of what's coming—a world teeming with bizarre cat-like monsters, evolving combat mechanics, and surreal new maps.
Chapter 2: Portal Problems Welcomes Ne.co to Mo.Co!
This chapter introduces a host of peculiar new foes. You'll encounter the Arrow Cat, which loves launching projectiles; Skitter, a crab-like enemy that moves sideways; and the remarkably indifferent final boss, The Lazy Queen.
Then there's Whisker, a wildcard with mysterious abilities, and Scratcher, a close-quarters brawler. Duke is a living statue that blends combat with environmental storytelling. Lastly, Blue Herring stands out as an eccentric figure carrying a fish.
Maps are also becoming more unusual in Mo.Co Chapter 2: Portal Problems. Battle through Frostpaw Dock, where aquatic environments meet feline adversaries. Explore Living Art Galleries, where statues and paintings spring to life during fights. New terrain types like Secret Rifts and cat-themed Dojos are also making their first appearance.
The Shotbow makes a permanent comeback as a new weapon, merging bow and shotgun mechanics with vibrant visuals. The Time Claw delivers an area-of-effect burst every six attacks. Meanwhile, the Poison Bow specializes in dealing damage over time, perfect for hit-and-run tactics.
Love Multiplayer?
Lobbies are now gone, replaced by a new team-up system. You can instantly add friends while participating in events or rift runs. Leaderboards have been revamped too, now featuring private rankings for your friends and groups.
PvP now includes four rotating game modes. Instead of just climbing ranks, you'll compete to earn Stars. A five-belt progression system has been introduced, with the Black Belt as the ultimate tier. Reaching it unlocks exclusive titles for players who master each format.
This is undoubtedly the largest update since the game launched in March. We're hopeful it will arrive soon. While we await more release details, you can download the game from the Google Play Store.
