Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance arrives in early February, bringing new content and features! This extended beta test gives players another opportunity to experience the thrill of the hunt before the official launch on February 28th, 2025.
A New Monster Joins the Hunt!
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the exciting news on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. The Open Beta Test Part 2 will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
This time around, players can tackle the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles, adding a new challenge to the beta experience. While character data from the first beta carries over (and transfers to the full game!), progress won't be saved. But don't worry, participating hunters receive rewards: a charming Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a valuable bonus item pack for the full game launch.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team heard player requests for another chance to play, and to allow more players to experience the game. While recent community updates detailed upcoming improvements, these enhancements won't be included in this beta, as they're still under development.
Prepare for the ultimate hunting experience! Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Happy Hunting!
