Exciting news for fans of rural farm life simulators: Morikomori Life has now officially launched on Android and iOS, but currently, it's exclusive to Japan. This charming game, published by Realfun Studio, was previously released in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. However, the Chinese version was discontinued about a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
The highlight of Morikomori Life is undoubtedly its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy, rural life through anime-inspired art, specifically in the style of Studio Ghibli. These aren't just any visuals; they genuinely look like they've been lifted straight from a Ghibli animated film, bringing an authentic and heartwarming aesthetic to the game.
In terms of the storyline, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The adventure begins when she receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, urging her to visit the village of Komori, where she spent her childhood. The journey back to Komori sets the stage for rediscovering the joys of a tranquil, rural existence. The game's use of 3D toon shading beautifully enhances the warmth of the Japanese landscapes, making them feel inviting and reminiscent of real-life countryside settings.
