Attention all Death Stranding enthusiasts! Brace yourselves for an exciting update: the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated to launch in June. In a recent interview with IGN, the franchise's lead actor, Norman Reedus, shared intriguing details about the upcoming game and hinted at the future film adaptation.
When asked about the possibility of reprising his role in the film version of Death Stranding, which was announced last month by Michael Sarnoski and A24, Reedus expressed enthusiasm. "If it was an option, yeah, for sure," he stated. "I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course."

During the conversation, Reedus also touched on his experience with the first game and his expectations for the sequel. He expressed a deep trust in the game's creator, Hideo Kojima, acknowledging the unique and visionary nature of Kojima's work. "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at," Reedus said. "He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to."
Despite the complexity of the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains enthusiastic about his involvement. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he shared with IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."
Mark your calendars, as Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to be released on June 26, 2025. Get ready for another thrilling journey into the world crafted by Hideo Kojima.
