May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO players, packed with a variety of events and raid opportunities. One of the highlights is the much-anticipated return of the Lake Trio to 5-Star Raids in multiple regions.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be available in Five-Star Raids from May 1st to May 12th, bringing with it the special move Nature's Madness and a chance to encounter its Shiny form.
Following Tapu Fini, the Lake Trio makes its grand return starting May 12th, with appearances varying by region: Uxie in the Asia-Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland.
After the Lake Trio, Tapu Bulu will take over Five-Star Raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature's Madness and the possibility of a Shiny encounter.
For those interested in Mega Raids, May offers a diverse lineup. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and concluding with Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month features several engaging events. The "Growing Up" event runs from May 2 to 7, with a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, players can participate in Crown Clash, while May 10th and 11th are set for the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend.
Community Day is scheduled for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a mystery. The Crown Clash: Taken Over event will occur from May 14th to 18th, with a Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.
The month continues with Final Strike: GO Battle Week from May 21st to 27th, and May 24th hosts the May Community Day Classic. The excitement wraps up on May 25, 2025, with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day.
