As Pokémon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale approaches on August 23rd and 24th, two exciting events kick off the celebration with new Pokémon debuts, bonuses, and shiny hunting opportunities. The Cozy Companions event introduces Snom and Frosmoth to Pokémon Go, followed by Munchlax Hatch Day, a single-day egg hatching extravaganza focused on the perpetually sleepy Generation IV baby Pokémon.
The Cozy Companions event runs in Pokémon Go from August 6th to 12th. During this weeklong celebration, Snom makes its first appearance alongside its evolution, Frosmoth. To evolve Snom into Frosmoth, trainers will need 400 Candy, 10 Buddy hearts, and must complete the evolution process at night.
Alongside these icy newcomers, Shiny Tandemaus also appears for the first time, particularly for trainers engaging in Party Play. Field Research tasks, wild spawns, and 7 km Eggs feature additional Pokémon including Charcadet, Alolan Geodude, and Galarian Farfetch'd. Friendship bonuses are also active during this event, accelerating progress with Gifts, battles, and trades.
Free Timed Research featuring Snom and Tandemaus is available, while a premium $1.99 research track adds a Lucky Egg, Star Piece, and additional encounter opportunities. Munchlax Hatch Day follows on August 9th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time. A free Timed Research provides an Incubator and XP rewards, while a $1.99 premium version offers Stardust bonuses, Super Incubators, and a Star Piece.
