Unlocking the Rod of the Exalted One in Fisch: A Guide to a Free (But Challenging) Fishing Rod
Only a handful of fishing rods in Fisch are freely obtainable through quests. The Tides of Gold update introduced a new free rod, the Rod of the Exalted One, but obtaining it requires significant time and in-game currency investment due to the rarity of required items. This guide details the process.
Locating The Keeper's Secret
The quest begins in The Keeper's Secret, a hidden location on one of the base islands. Access is free. To reach it, navigate to Mushgrove Swamp.
Find a camouflaged wall within the island's rock formations. Starting from the Shipwright NPC, head straight into the island. Upon encountering tall rocks, turn left. A darker-colored, subtly different wall is the entrance. Proceed cautiously; the interior cave is small, containing only an elevator and a dangerous drop shaft. A misstep into the shaft will result in immediate death. Successfully using the elevator leads to The Keeper's Secret, revealing seven color-coded pedestals.
Solving The Keeper's Secret Puzzle
Each of the seven pedestals requires a uniquely mutated Enchant Relic:
- Greedy Relic
- Translucent Relic
- Atlantean Relic
- Crystalized Relic
- Hexed Relic
- Mosaic Relic
- Fossilized Relic
Acquiring these mutated relics typically involves purchasing them from the Merlin NPC and appraising them during Mutation Surge events, necessitating substantial in-game spending. Once all seven correctly mutated relics are placed, the Rod of the Exalted One and three Exalted Relics are rewarded.
