After months of speculation and teasers, Activision has finally released the much-anticipated trailer for the long-awaited remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. The development of this beloved franchise is now in the capable hands of Iron Galaxy, succeeding Vicarious Visions, the team behind the successful THPS 1+2. Fans can look forward to enhanced graphics, the introduction of online multiplayer, and the addition of new playable characters such as Rayssa Leal, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome. The trailer gives us a glimpse of iconic locations like Airport, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, all beautifully reimagined with today's technology. It also includes a side-by-side comparison that showcases the significant graphical improvements over the original games.
The game will feature legendary skaters such as Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, and Rodney Mullen, although it appears that Bam Margera will not be making a return. Those who opt for the Digital Deluxe edition will have the unique opportunity to play as Doom Slayer and Revenant. In keeping with the nostalgic feel, the developers have promised to include part of the original soundtrack, featuring tracks from Motorhead, Gang Starr, and CKY.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 will hit the shelves on July 11, available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, and PC. Pre-ordering the game grants players access to a demo in June and early access to the full game three days before its official release, ensuring fans get to enjoy the thrill of skating even sooner.
