Get ready for the first Pokémon Go Community Day of 2025! The event kicks off on January 5th, featuring the Grass-type starter Sprigatito.
From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Sprigatito will appear much more frequently in the wild. This is your chance to catch plenty and power up your team!
Evolving your Sprigatito into Floragato, and then into Meowscarada, during the event (or within the five-hour post-event window) unlocks the powerful Charged Attack, Frenzy Plant. It also permanently learns Flower Trick, adding significant strength to your Pokémon lineup.
This Community Day is packed with bonuses:
- Triple Stardust and Double Candy: Catching Pokémon yields increased rewards.
- Double Candy XL Chance (Level 31+): Trainers at level 31 and above get a boosted chance for Candy XL.
- Extended Lure Modules and Incense: These last for a full three hours.
- Discounted Trades: Stardust costs for trades are halved, with an extra Special Trade available.
For an even bigger challenge, a paid Special Research story is available for $2, unlocking exclusive rewards like a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and extra Sprigatito encounters. A free Timed Research will continue the fun for a week after Community Day, offering a Sprigatito with a special Dual Destiny-themed background.
