Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers a diverse arsenal, letting players tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapons with enhanced stats and modifications exist, including the Cavalier sniper rifle. This distinctive weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it ideal for close-to-medium range engagements. Here's how to acquire it.
Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You might already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash. Access is easiest via the secondary entrance.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering Duga, navigate towards the Military Unit building (as indicated on your map). Circumvent the building itself to reach the greenhouse at the rear. Be aware of two Pseudogiants patrolling the area; they're hostile. Proceed cautiously to avoid confrontation.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll enter the warehouse. Prepare for a rat infestation upon entry; their attacks can quickly deplete your health. Utilize the elevated platforms at the back of the warehouse for cover. A grenade can effectively eliminate the rodent threat.
Retrieving the Cavalier
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll see yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon to dislodge the Cavalier sniper rifle.
After securing the Cavalier, exit Duga safely. Further upgrades are available from Screw, the technician at Rostok base. The Cavalier boasts high damage and accuracy, further enhanced by modifications. Its red-dot sight makes it a powerful alternative for players who prefer this sight over a traditional scope for close-to-medium range combat.
