Regarding the plot, Netflix has released the following synopsis:
“The fall of 1987. Hawkins bears the scars of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by one mission: find and kill Vecna," the official description states. "But he has disappeared — his location and intentions a mystery. Their task is complicated as the government imposes a military quarantine on the town and ramps up its pursuit of Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.
"As the anniversary of Will's disappearance nears, a heavy, familiar dread returns. The final confrontation approaches — and with it, a darkness more powerful and lethal than anything they've ever encountered. To end this nightmare, they'll need everyone — the entire party — standing together, one last time."
Netflix had already shared the episode titles for Stranger Things Season 5, which arrives over three years after Season 4 concluded.
