Hello, Switch fans! Welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 28th, 2024. Yesterday's presentation was packed with exciting reveals, including several surprise game releases! Partner/Indie World Showcase: A Treasure Trove of Games

Nintendo's strategy of combining smaller Directs proved effective, delivering a flurry of announcements. Highlights include several surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory titles, and much more. We strongly recommend watching the full video; it's worth your time!

Select New Releases

Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)

A fantastic surprise! This third Castlevania collection features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes a remastered version of the notoriously bad arcade game, Haunted Castle, courtesy of M2. This remaster is a significant improvement. Expect excellent emulation and a wealth of features. A truly exceptional value.

Pizza Tower ($19.99)

This Wario Land-inspired platformer is a whirlwind of frantic action. Conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save your restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will love this. Even if you're not a Wario aficionado, the fast-paced platforming is worth checking out. We're aiming for a review soon.

Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)

Another surprise release! It's Goat Simulator 3. You know the drill. Performance on the Switch is yet to be confirmed, but other platforms have experienced some issues. Buyer beware. However, even if it's a bit rough around the edges, the chaotic fun might still be worth it. Silly goats, silly antics, and potential Switch-induced technical difficulties!

Peglin ($19.99)

We think EA missed a golden opportunity by not bringing PopCap games to Switch. Peglin scratches that Peggle itch perfectly. This mobile hit is now on Switch, blending Peggle mechanics with roguelite RPG elements. A review is coming soon.

Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)

Kairosoft's latest shop simulator features the beloved Doraemon characters. It's a typical Kairosoft experience with a charming Doraemon twist. Fans of the series and shop simulators will appreciate this.

Pico Park 2 ($8.99)

More Pico Park for existing fans! Up to eight players can enjoy local or online multiplayer puzzle-solving. It's more of the same, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)

A budget-friendly rhythm game featuring Kamitsubaki Studio music. Simple, fun, and affordable.

SokoPenguin ($4.99)

A classic Sokoban-style puzzle game with a penguin theme. One hundred levels of crate-pushing fun.

Q2 Humanity ($6.80)

Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Use your character's abilities and drawing to solve problems. Up to four players can join in locally or online.
