Author : Leo Apr 08,2025

As we approach the Spring season, Pokémon Go players are in for a frosty surprise with the upcoming Community Day event featuring Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon. Mark your calendars for April 27th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, when Vanillite will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Keep your eyes peeled for the chance to encounter its Shiny variant, adding an extra layer of excitement to your hunt.

The fun doesn't end with just catching Vanillite. Evolve it into Vanilluxe during the event or up to May 4th, and you'll unlock the powerful Charged Attack, Avalanche. This move boasts 90 power in Trainer Battles and 85 power in Gyms and Raids, making Vanilluxe a formidable addition to your battle team.

For those looking to dive deeper into the event, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for $2. By completing the tasks, you'll encounter Vanillite with a unique Might and Mastery-themed special background, along with additional Vanillite encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and other rewards.

Don't miss out on the Timed Research opportunity, which extends through the following week, offering another chance to catch Vanillite with the exclusive backdrop. Additionally, event-themed Field Research tasks will provide opportunities to earn Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters with Vanillite, some of which may feature the special event background.

Throughout the event, several bonuses will be active to enhance your experience. You'll earn triple XP for catches, double Candy for each Pokémon caught, and Trainers level 31 and above will have double the odds of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and there will be discounts on trading, making it the perfect time to bolster your Pokémon Go roster.
