World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

World of Warcraft's Patch 11.1 will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token to 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch launches.

The WoW 20th-anniversary event, concluding on January 7th, offered players numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary items. Unspent tokens could previously be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency for Timewalking events. Blizzard confirmed these tokens would have no future use.

This automatic conversion in Patch 11.1 prevents players from retaining useless currency. Community manager Linxy confirmed the 1:20 conversion ratio, mirroring the in-event exchange rate.

While Patch 11.1 lacks an official release date, February 25th is a strong contender. This aligns with Blizzard's recent release schedule, considering the holiday season and the ongoing Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events (ending February 17th and 24th respectively).

The conversion will likely occur after the Turbulent Timeways event concludes. Timewarped Badges can be spent across various Timewalking campaigns, with no planned removal of purchasable rewards, allowing players to save them for future events.
