Xbox debuts sneak peek of WWE 2K25

WWE 2K25: First Glimpses and Roster Speculation

Xbox recently unveiled screenshots of the upcoming WWE 2K25, sparking excitement and speculation among wrestling game fans. Following the March 2024 release of WWE 2K24, many anticipate a similar launch window for its successor in 2025. While official details remain scarce, the buzz around potential roster additions and the cover athlete is already intense.

The cover star remains a mystery, though a recent Steam page leak has fueled considerable speculation. Past WWE games have featured iconic legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, as well as current superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. While the leak hints at a potential cover star, confirmation awaits the official announcement slated for January 28, 2025.

Xbox's Twitter celebration of WWE RAW's Netflix debut included screenshots showcasing updated character models and attires for Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, and CM Punk. This sparked inquiries about potential Xbox Game Pass inclusion. Fans particularly praised the improved likeness of Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan compared to previous iterations.

Four Confirmed Playable Characters:

  • CM Punk
  • Damien Priest
  • Liv Morgan
  • Cody Rhodes

While these four are confirmed, the full WWE 2K25 roster remains undisclosed. Significant roster changes within WWE, including both departures and new signings, have fans eagerly anticipating the inclusion of their favorites. Speculation points towards potential appearances by Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, and the newly-revamped Wyatt Six.

Although the initial announcement came from Xbox, WWE 2K25 is expected to launch on PlayStation and PC platforms as well. Whether it will be current-gen exclusive is yet to be confirmed. A link on the WWE Games Twitter account directs to a wishlist page featuring Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, promising further details on January 28, 2025.
