Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled the first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for January 2025, confirming previous leaks and rumors. Seven new games are joining the service, while six others are departing. This exciting lineup kicks off a promising year for Game Pass subscribers.

Key highlights include the arrival of Road 96, My Time at Sandrock, and Diablo (though with some tier restrictions). Several titles are leaving the service on January 15th, including Exoprimal and Those Who Remain. This follows Microsoft's recent announcement of significant changes to the Game Pass service, including updated age restrictions and a revised rewards system.

New Games (January 2025):

Road 96 is available now (January 7th) across all tiers. The following titles launch later in the month:

  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview) - January 8th
  • My Time at Sandrock - January 8th
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders - January 8th
  • Rolling Hills - January 8th
  • UFC 5 - January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only)
  • Diablo - January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)

Note that Diablo and UFC 5 have tier restrictions, with Diablo available to Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, and UFC 5 exclusive to Ultimate members. The remaining titles are accessible with a standard subscription.

In addition to the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks are available as of January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass (January 15th):

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This is just the first half of January's Game Pass updates. Microsoft will undoubtedly reveal the second half of the month's lineup shortly.
