Microsoft has unveiled an impressive lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles slated for release in the first half of April 2025. This month promises a mix of exciting first- and third-party games, including standout titles like South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, among others.
As detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post, the month kicks off with a bang on April 3, introducing Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available on Cloud, Console, and PC for all tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help, Still Wakes the Deep, and Wargroove 2, all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave offers a plethora of options to keep even the most avid Xbox fans engaged. But the excitement doesn't stop there; just five days later on April 8, South of Midnight and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition will become available for all Game Pass subscribers across various platforms.
South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games and set in the Deep South, is poised to be one of the year's biggest releases for Xbox. Its inclusion in Game Pass is expected to attract a large audience eager to explore its unique folklore adventure. Microsoft’s description highlights the game's promise: “Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown.”
Following closely, Commandos: Origins will join Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 9, with Blue Prince arriving on April 10 for the same tiers. The first wave of April's releases will conclude on April 15 with the addition of Hunt: Showdown 1896 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
In addition to new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025.
