Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Remember this 2019 title? This time, it's hitting mobile platforms, but the extent of the update remains a mystery. Will it be a fully polished re-release, or simply a modernized port? Only time will tell.
The game plunges you into the gritty, yet strangely humorous, 1970s. Think urban decay, stylish street gangs, and maybe even a few cinematic clichés thrown in for good measure. As Bob Leaner, your job is to discreetly erase all traces of mob violence – bodies, bloodstains, the whole shebang – while dodging watchful police officers.
Our initial 2019 review hinted at its potential, but also pointed out its flaws. Developer Plug-In Digital now takes on publishing duties, giving them a chance to rectify any shortcomings. Will they seize this opportunity to refine the game? It's certainly possible, though perhaps optimistic, given the time elapsed since the original release.
A Funky Return?
Available for pre-registration now, with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the extent of the improvements remains unclear. While a significant overhaul would be welcome, a simple mobile port is also a possibility.
