Thunee, derived from the Tamil word for water, is a beloved trick-taking card game that originated in Durban, South Africa. This engaging game is an adaptation of 304, a popular card game in India and Sri Lanka. Whether you choose to play in Single Player mode or dive into the excitement of Multiplayer, Thunee offers an unparalleled gaming experience that simulates the thrill of the real game. To ensure the best gaming experience and to upload or update your scores (wins), an online connection is essential.
In Multiplayer mode, you can invite friends to join you as partners or challenge them to a game. Inviting others is made simple with push notifications or WhatsApp messages. The app keeps track of your games played with friends, storing results and statistics which you can view on the statistics page. It's the perfect way to showcase who's the top player in your circle.
For beginners, the Easy difficulty level offers a learning environment with assistance and in-game narration to guide you through the gameplay.
Thunee's app is highly customizable, allowing you to tailor the settings to match your preferred play style. You can adjust various options such as:
- Selecting the difficulty level: Hard, Medium, or Easy.
- Opting for score assistance in Medium & Easy modes, which provides real-time trick/hand values and scores.
- Choosing when to be prompted to bid: always or only when holding 3 or more cards of the same suit or J9.
- Enabling an option to offer an early win or loss when scores exceed the required amount (enabled by default).
- Allowing early victory claims, including Double and Khanuck claims.
- Setting the duration to clear a trick (hand) or opting to clear it by clicking; you can also clear a trick earlier than the set duration (default is 1 second).
- Enjoying vocal sounds for bidding, calling Jodhi, and more.
- Customizing the game's appearance by changing the background or selecting your own color with a vignette effect, and choosing different card packs.
- Option to include Royals, where the value of cards is reversed (e.g., Queens become Jacks, Kings become Nines, etc.).
