In Tute, the hierarchy of cards from highest to lowest is as follows: Ace, which scores 11 points; 3, scoring 10 points; King, with 4 points; Knight, at 3 points; Jack, valued at 2 points; and then the 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (the latter being white cards that hold no point value).
Gameplay begins with the first card played setting the suit for the round. Players are required to follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including trump cards. The highest card of the trump suit claims the trick; otherwise, the highest card of the leading suit wins.
