Disco Elysium Mobile Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

Author : Layla May 17,2025

Following the buzz around their newly announced Project C4, ZA/UM has unveiled plans for an official mobile version of the acclaimed game, Disco Elysium, tailored exclusively for Android users. This move aims to extend the reach of Disco Elysium to new audiences while offering a convenient, on-the-go option for existing fans. To make the game accessible, ZA/UM will release the first two chapters for free, allowing players to experience the initial narrative before opting to purchase the full game without ads.

ZA/UM emphasizes their commitment to enabling informed purchasing decisions, stating, "Today's ZA/UM studio is comprised of both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP. We take both of those roles very seriously and we believe that is evident in the Disco Elysium mobile experience we are creating."

Studio head Denis Havel shared an ambitious vision to draw in the TikTok audience, aiming to "captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment."

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new, immersive 360-degree scenes designed to place mobile users directly into the heart of Revachol. The mobile version boasts enhanced audio with full voiceover to enrich the character-driven experience further.

The official description touts this version as a "total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium," optimized for today's mobile users with a focus on short, engaging play sessions. Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described it as "what audiobooks wish they were," tailored for brief, impactful bursts of gameplay.

Disco Elysium is slated for release on Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that, while the studio name remains ZA/UM, the team behind this mobile version differs significantly from the original Disco Elysium team. Several key members have since departed ZA/UM and are now involved in developing spiritual successors to the game.
